This is not a blog post about a morose but powerful best-seller written in 2002. This is a blog post about what happens when you encounter a piece of clothing that has incredible unrealized potential.
A piece whose shape, colors or seams entice you. It’s not 100% perfect, but in fact, its very bones are lovely.
First up for your approval, a color blocked vintage dress.
1. Beautiful fabric & color
2. Great shape
Here’s what I hate about it:
1. it’s too long
2. Although the skirt fits, the top is too tight.
No wait. I don’t think you understand what I mean by ‘too tight’
I mean ‘un-wearable.’ I mean ‘buttons crying for justice.’ I mean TOO TIGHT. Plus, I look like Tracy Morgan in this pic.
So, the big question is, how do you make your unrequited fashion love love you back?
And what do you get?
I do believe what you ‘get’ is a saucy-ass, one-of-a-kind vintage reconstruction!
What do you guys think? And most important, do you all have any Lovely Bones projects? If so, I’d love to feature them. Send your pics and outfit breakdown to ms(dot)addi(dot)enne(at)gmail (dot)com.
Can’t wait to see them!
Thanks for reading!

Wow! Did you change the hem and add the lace yourself? Or did you take it to a tailor? This is truly fab!
